4 Reasons Why We Shouldn’t Ban The Confederate Flag (From a Black Mans Perspective)

These last few months we’ve seen the liberal media throw a tantrum over the confederate flag stating that it should be banned and forgotten.  We’ll here is one man’s humble opinion of why they should all take 5 minutes to calm down, drink some sweet tea, and proceed to shove it up their behind.

  1. The Civil War is a very important piece of American history and all the symbols, documents, and flags should be preserved. This includes the Confederate Flag. The Civil War had over 600,000 casualties, that’s just as many deaths as all the other wars the United States has been in combined. To try to erase any piece of history in relation to the Civil War would be to turn our back on those veterans who put their lives on the line defending their values, no matter what side you were on. Trying to replace history just because someone might be offended is what should be banned, that along with “safe spaces”, political correctness, and being able to receive welfare checks but not being able to pass a drug test, but those are topics for another time.
  2. The Civil War was not about Slavery, period. The average confederate soldier wasn’t on the battlefield risking his own life because he wanted to keep his slaves, mostly because only 1% of the U.S. population at the time even had slaves. To say that people laid down their lives so that one rich guy back home could keep his slaves is so completely absurd I shouldn’t have to even bring it up, yet that’s what gets taught in the public school system. The Civil War was fought over States Rights, it was the average man sticking up for himself and say that the Federal Government shouldn’t be able to dictate what his state can and cannot do. Lincoln even admitted “I have no purpose directly or indirectly to interfere with the institution of slavery in the states where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so.” It was only much later during the battle of Gettysburg did he spin the whole thing to the media to make it about slavery. And talking about Lincoln….
  3. Abraham Lincoln was a racist. He thought blacks were inferior and was even opposed to interracial marriage. It was he who said “Our republican system was meant for a homogeneous people. As long as blacks continue to live with the whites they constitute a threat to the national life. Family life may also collapse and the increase of mixed breed bastards may some day challenge the supremacy of the white man.”
  4. We shouldn’t negotiate with terrorist. The whole debacle concerning the Confederate Flag was due to the tragic Charleston Church Shooting. The culprit Dylan Roof was a lunatic, a coward, and a terrorist. He even admitted to performing the shooting in order to start a race war, and on his website wrote his manifesto about white supremacy which included pictures of him holding an Confederate Flag which if you read above the Civil War had nothing to do with the issues of race or slavery. Instead of ignoring this maniac we have a national debate and uproar over a piece of history just because some crazy said it was a symbol of white supremacy.

  1. I think it’s crazy to try and ban this flag, but you lost me with #3. Remove it and try something different unless you’re just trying to troll folks.
